INTUITIVE MANDALA WORKSHOP

Breathe, Flow and create, all from within you’

Mandala is the Sanskrit word for circle and symbolizes wholeness. Mandalas are sacred circles that have been long been used to facilitate meditation in the Indian and  Tibetan religions. People create and look at mandalas essentially to centre the body and mind. They are organic, starting from a central core and growing in an often unpredictable fashion, reflecting obstacles and victories on the one’s journey.
 It is normally two-dimensional. There is a central point of focus from which the design radiates from.
Mandalas are entering medicine as a healing tool. An increasing body of clinical trials suggests that meditation can boost the immune system, reduce stress, combat depression, reduce pain, lower blood pressure, and stimulate the release of melatonin, a hormone believed to slow cell aging and promote restful sleep.

 

What do we do?

You will use your own creative expression through many different materials placed on a canvas.

We start with exercises and breathing techniques to  balance left and right hemispheres of the brain and finish with right nostril breathing to enhance our ‘Right Brain creativity’.

We then begin to look and feel our way through what ‘s on offer on the art table and then we create our Mandala from our heart (right brain side) not our head (left brain side)

 Once we have finished  our painting I’ll read & interpret your painting and what story it is telling you.

Come have fun, freedom to express yourself and no need to have ever painted or created before!
