Restorative Yoga Teacher Training

Restorative Yoga is a wonderful yoga to teach. This yoga originally come from Mr Iyengar , then developed more by "Judith Hanson" and I have developed the style again with a more meditative flow to the teaching. Restorative Yoga is deeply peaceful and transformative. I say it's like 'a moving meditation' or 'Stillness through Movement'. Postures are held longer than normal yoga allowing a deeper opening while supported by props.
A strong focus on Pranayama - breath awareness is used, bringing forth a calm still mind. Restorative Yoga works with the parasympathetic nervous system, responsible for the "relaxation response". It actively takes the nervous system out of the 'Fight, Flight or Freeze' mode, allowing the body/mind to penetrate to a deep state of healing on its own. Giving a lasting change when practiced regularly.

So whether you are a Teacher wanting to add to your teaching experience or a beginner/student to yoga, restorative yoga will deepen your practice and experience in softening the body, strengthening the immune and nervous system, and developing equanimity in the mind.
This yoga in my opinion is the best yoga for releasing stress within the body/mind. A tool most needed in this 21st century, of a busy lifestyle.
